DACTIOLOCERAS
An English ammonite whose charcoal colours combine effectively with red reed on a dual suede backdrop. Dactylioceras was a widespread genus of ammonite from the Jurassic period, approximately 172 million years ago . They are generally small, averaging 65 mm in diameter..Strange to think that these wonderful specimens were deposited from the tropical seas that prevailed in the UK some 180 million years ago.
