This Jianghanichthys fossilised fish has been mounted on a complimentary hand made paper that has been died and overpainted in layers to achieve a uniquely appropriate setting for the fish to ‘swim’ in. This fish is shown in a it’s original grey claylike matrix where it was embedded some 120 million years ago . A beautiful medium sized fish with the head and fins clearly shown. This stunning fossil is beautifully preserved, showing the bones and even the scales of the fish.
